Silvia Bozzi has a Master degree in Environmental Engineering from the Politecnico di Milano (2002) and has obtained a Ph.D. degree in Water Engineering in 2008 on the numerical simulation of particulate flows in domains with moving boundaries. In 2008-2012 she worked as research fellow in the field of particle mechanics at the Department of Hydraulic, Environmental, Road and Surveying Engineering of the Politecnico di Milano. She has been involved in several research projects at both national and international level on environmental and industrial fluid mechanics. She has been teaching assistant in the courses of hydrology, land hydraulic protection and maritime hydraulics. At present, she is post-doctoral fellow at the Department of Bioengineering of the Politecnico di Milano. Her research interests include numerical simulation of particulate flows, uncertainty analysis, PIV and PTV measurements and data assimilation in hemodynamics.
