Computational Laboratory

The laboratory is in the Leonardo Polimi Campus Polimi (Building 21, Via Golgi 39), within the premises of the Department of Electronics, Information and Bioengineering.
The Biomolecular Engineering Lab is equipped with local workstations with Nvidia GPUs for modelling and visualization. Available software for molecular visualization and simulation includes NAMD, Gromacs, Yasara, Materials Studio, VMD, Pymol, Rosetta, FoldX.
High Performance Computing

The Lab is partner of CFDHub@Polimi, an inter-departmental facility that manages the Z3 cluster, which is equipped with state-of-the-heart nodes for supercomputing activities (143 nodes for a total of 3’140 cores, 14’464 GB RAM, 2 Nvidia K40, 2 Nvidia K80).
The Lab has access to CINECA-managed LEONARDO supercomputer, the largest HPC facility in Italy. LEONARDO is equipped with 3’456 computing node, each featuring 32 cores, 4 x NVIDIA Ampere GPUs, and 512 GB RAM.
