colomboFederica Colombo was born in Varese in 1991. In July 2013, she graduated in Biomedical Engineering (BSc) at Politecnico di Milano with a project dealing with the extraction of pectin from Aloe Vera by electrodialysis techniques. At the end of 2014, she started working for her master thesis at the Laboratory of Experimental Micro and Biofluid dynamics (μBS Lab) and the Biocompatibility and Cell Culture Laboratory (BioCell) at Politecnico di Milano. In September 2015, Federica got her master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering at Politecnico di Milano with a thesis on the validation and optimization of a microfluidic device for cell culture and transfection. After graduation, she completed an internship on research project administration and management at Istituto Auxologico Italiano (Milan). In February 2017, she started working as research fellow in the In Vivo Chromatin and Transcription Unit at San Raffaele Scientific Institute (Milan). Currently she is a PhD student at Politecnico di Milano and she continues her collaboration with the San Raffaele Institute. Her present research is focused on the study of NF-ĸB transcription factor dynamics in multiple myeloma.
