roberta_visoneRoberta Visone was born in 1988. She received her Bachelor degree in Biomedical Engineering in 2010 from Politecnico di Milano (Italy) with a thesis on regenerative medicine about novel strategies to restore heart functionality. In 2013 she obtained her Master degree in Biomedical Engineering at Politecnico di Milano with a thesis concerning the design and preliminary validation of a bioreactor chamber allowing for perfusion, electrical stimulation and microscopic assessment of cell seeded scaffolds. During her graduate studies she spent 6 months at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (Switzerland) where she attended courses in the field of bioengineering and neuroscience. After the graduation she worked as research scientist at the Cell and Tissue Engineering Lab of IRCCS Galeazzi Orthopaedic Institute in Milan (Italy) on the development of microscale and macroscale technologies to generate 3D engineered constructs in the field of regenerative medicine. Currently she is a PhD student at the Politecnico di Milano and her research is focused on developing microfluidic platforms for generation and culturing engineered biomimetic constructs.
