September 2020 - Two of our brilliant PhD cadidates awarded with the first prize at the Datathon Challenge during the 2020 Bioengineering Summer School by the Italian National Bioengineering Group.       
                                                            

Tatiana Mencarini and Lorenzo Coppadoro, members of Team 6, were awarded with the “GNB Datathon Challenge” first prize. Their algorithm for in-hospital mortality prediction, starting from a dataset of clinical measurements routinely collected in the first 48 hours of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) stay, obtained the best results in terms of specificity and accuracy.
